Joe McElroy, Director of Operations, keeps things humming at CTS Fire & Safety, both behind the desk at CTS headquarters and out in the field building relationships with clients (his favorite part of the job). Responsible for business development, scheduling, and some service work, Joe brings a unique and invaluable perspective to CTS as a former fireman and paramedic that allows him to understand exactly what fire departments are looking for as the ultimate authority in building safety. And it’s that aspect that business owners and safety directors appreciate. “I don’t look at meeting clients from a sales point of view,” he says. “I see it as being able to use my experience to help them pass inspection—I know what works, why it works, where it belongs, and how you can stay safe and meet every code.” And as much as he likes his work, anyone can tell you that it’s not hard to get Joe talking about his wife and three daughters, family vacation spots, spending a day on the lake, or working in his garden.
